These Apple Oat Crisps are suitable for all pets as they are just plain  ‘Healthy’

Ingredients

1 cup oats
2 apples, cored and chopped
3 cups of boiling water
½ tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

Soak oats in the boiling water overnight.

In the morning, measure out 3 cups of oats.

Place the apple, cinnamon and oats into a power blender and process until mixture is smooth.

On the non-stick sheets or solid sheets of your dehydrator, spread as evenly as possible about 6mm thick.

Dry at 60°C for up to 9 hours. When the dough is dry enough to lift from the sheet, flip it over onto a cutting board and peel off the sheet.

Cut the dough into desired sizes according to the size of the pet (5 x 2,5cm is good), or cut with a bone shaped cookie cutter.

Transfer the pieces to the drying trays, moist side down, and dry for a further 2 hours still on 60°C or until firm and crisp.

Let cool completely.

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months. (If they last that long – remember to keep some for your dog)
